It is an interdisciplinary subfield of&nbsp;<strong>computing<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>linguistics<\/strong>&nbsp;that develops methodologies and technologies that enable the&nbsp;<strong>popularity<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>translation of speech<\/strong>&nbsp;into&nbsp;<strong>text<\/strong>&nbsp;by computers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speech recognition is employed to spot words in&nbsp;<strong>speech<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Voice recognition may be a&nbsp;<strong>biometric technology<\/strong>&nbsp;wont to identify a specific individual\u2019s voice or for talker identification. It is also known as&nbsp;<strong>\u201cautomatic speech recognition\u201d (ASR)<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>\u201ccomputer speech recognition\u201d<\/strong>, or&nbsp;<strong>\u201cspeech to text\u201d (STT)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In speech recognition, a software application recognizes&nbsp;<strong>spoken words<\/strong>. The measurements in this Machine Learning application might be a&nbsp;<strong>set of numbers<\/strong>&nbsp;that represent the&nbsp;<strong>speech signal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can segment the signal into portions that contain&nbsp;<strong>distinct words<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>phonemes<\/strong>.
