Basically, there are two systems of units based on the metric system used: the SI unit and CGS units. Thus, we will look at the unit of\u00a0magnetic field\u00a0below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SI Unit of Magnetic Field<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally, the magnetic field can be defined in several specific ways in relation to its effect on the environment. Accordingly, we have the B-field and the H-field. B-field is a magnetic field defined by the force it exerts on a moving charged particle, whereas an H-field is similar to a B-field except when they are inside a material. However, they are measured differently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In the SI System:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>B is measured in\u00a0<strong>teslas<\/strong>\u00a0represented as T.<\/li><li>Whereas the H-field is measured in\u00a0<strong>amperes per metre<\/strong>\u00a0(A\/m).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Common Units<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Some other common unit of Magnetic Field is given below:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Apart from the SI system, the B-field in the&nbsp;<strong>Gaussian-CGS<\/strong>&nbsp;system is measured with the unit&nbsp;<strong>gauss (G)<\/strong>.<\/li><li>If we look at the conversion it is&nbsp;<strong>1 T = 10000 G<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Meanwhile, the H-field is measured with the help of&nbsp;<strong>Oersted (Oe)<\/strong>&nbsp;in the CGS system.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When we talk about the magnetic field, different units are used to measure it.
