That is, each element gets an electron. Homolytic cleavage results in the\u00a0<strong>formation of free radicals.<\/strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"281\" height=\"60\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn1.byjus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/word-image307-e1552284292139.png\" alt=\"Homolytic Cleavage\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Homolytic Cleavage of Covalent Bond<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the above figure, we have used an arrow to show the movement of electrons.
