Use a rolling pin, and roll the pie crust into a large rectangular shape on a flat surface, and then using a pizza cutter or knife to cut dough rectangles, about 3×5 inches.

Next spoon about 1 tablespoon of jam into the center of each rectangle, gently spreading, leaving about a ¼ inch border around the edges. Be careful to not overfill or it will leak out in your air fryer.

Fill a small bowl with warm water and lightly dip your finger into water and slide along the bottom edge piece (this helps glue dough pieces together).

Then, fold top piece of pastry to bottom piece. Pinch all edges together and seal them with a fork. Use the fork to poke holes in pastry for ventilation while it cooks (I poked holes in top, middle, and bottom of pop tart for uniformity).

Repeat this process until all pieces are filled with strawberry jam. Any trimmed pieces can be combined, rolled out and cut into more 3×5 rectangles and will make 3-4 more full air fryer pop tarts.

Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper, and then place pastries in a single layer into basket.

Air fry at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are crispy golden brown. Allow to cool before glazing or eating pastry.

NOTES

I make this recipe in my Cosori 5.8 quart air fryer.
