Add the garlic and saute for\u00a01-2 minutes, until fragrant.<\/li><li>Add the asparagus and saute for about\u00a05 minutes, until it turns bright green.<\/li><li>Add the chicken broth, salt, and pepper, and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about\u00a010 minutes, until asparagus is very soft.<\/li><li>Pour soup into a\u00a0high-powered blender\u00a0and blend until smooth.<\/li><li>Transfer soup back to the pot.
