While anyone can get it, it is most common among young children and during the summer months. It usually resolves itself on its own with no treatment, although drugs may be needed for relief if the blistering becomes painful. HFMD is not related to foot-and-mouth disease of cattle. A rash that turns into blisters<\/li><li>Flat spots or sores on their knees, elbows, or buttocks<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Mouth sores can make it hurt to swallow. Eating or drinking less than usual could be the only sign of a child\u2019s illness.
