{"id":7102,"date":"2022-08-29T17:37:54","date_gmt":"2022-08-29T17:37:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mdr.foobrdigital.com\/?p=7102"},"modified":"2022-08-29T17:37:54","modified_gmt":"2022-08-29T17:37:54","slug":"symptoms-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mudassirbackup.infinitycodestudio.com\/index.php\/2022\/08\/29\/symptoms-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Symptoms"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Cellulitis usually begins as a swollen, pink or red patch of skin that may increase in size and severity as the infection spreads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following symptoms may\u00a0occur\u00a0in the affected area:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>redness and swelling<\/li><li>warmth<\/li><li>tenderness and pain<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Some people develop blisters, skin dimpling, or spots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A person may also experience other symptoms of an infection, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>fatigue<\/li><li>chills and cold sweats<\/li><li>shivering<\/li><li>fever<\/li><li>nausea<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the lymph glands may swell and become tender. Cellulitis in the leg, for example, may affect the lymph glands in the groin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other similar conditions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several other conditions that share similar symptoms with cellulitis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few examples include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Erysipelas:\u00a0<\/strong>Similar to cellulitis, erysipelas is a bacterial skin infection\u00a0characterized\u00a0by redness and pain. However, erysipelas usually affects the outer layers of the skin, whereas cellulitis affects the deeper layers.<\/li><li><strong>Stasis dermatitis:\u00a0<\/strong>This condition occurs due to insufficient blood flow and typically affects the lower legs. It can\u00a0cause skin discoloration, ulcers, and swelling, and may be treatable with lifestyle changes and medical or surgical procedures.<\/li><li><strong>Dermatitis:\u00a0<\/strong>Similar to cellulitis, dermatitis can cause skin discoloration, swelling, and blisters. However, it is usually the result of skin irritation and may be\u00a0treatable\u00a0with topical medications and antihistamines.<\/li><li><strong>Deep vein thrombosis:<\/strong>\u00a0This condition usually affects the legs and is\u00a0the result of a blood clot in a deep vein.
