Female mites also lay eggs here. (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/parasites\/scabies\/gen_info\/faqs.html\" target=\"_blank\">1<\/a>)\u00a0When this happens, the skin often breaks out into an itchy, pimple-like rash in an\u00a0allergic reaction\u00a0to the mites, their eggs, and their waste. (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aad.org\/public\/diseases\/a-z\/scabies-overview\" target=\"_blank\">2<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though scabies is pretty unpleasant to think about, the good news is that it\u2019s very treatable. Scabies treatment involves topical remedies and, depending on the severity of the infestation, oral medication.
